Community Involvement

Passions

For the past decade, Nathan has worked tirelessly to create and grow a unique culinary gala called Passions, in support of the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation. What began as a small charity cooking class held at Barbara-Jo’s Books to Cooks has become one of the city’s must-attend gastronomic galas. Nathan has helped raise close to a million dollars for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation.

International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP)

As the Director, Programs & Education Division Co-Chair, Food Photographers & Stylists Section Liaison and Awards Program Co-Liaison, Nathan has been involved with the IACP for over 22 years and just finished a 2-year term on the IACP Board of Directors. The International Association of Culinary Professionals is a worldwide forum for the development and exchange of information, knowledge, and inspiration within the professional food and beverage community.  Nathan also acts as a charter member of the IACP Food Photographers & Stylists interest section and has been on the IACP Cookbook Awards Committee and a presenter at the 1997 IACP Cookbook Awards.

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS)

To stay connected to his roots and love for the arts, Nathan gives his time on the Board of Directors for the Theatre Under the Stars.

Share Our Strength (SOS)
